As a family business, we act in a socially conscious, fair, and environmental manner.

Walter Knoll is the furniture brand of modernity. Minimalism and the careful use of resources are in our DNA. The thought leaders of the Bauhaus sought to use raw materials efficiently and without waste. Our design approach: to create aesthetics of timeless validity. Our furniture is designed to accompany your life, throughout the years and decades to come. 

Climate-neutral furniture production

Through the conscious selection of materials and the efficient, economical use of energy, we contribute to the environmentally friendly use of natural resources. Short distances and a high degree of flexibility thanks to cooperation with partner companies from the region are also part of our sustainability concept.

We offset all emissions that are impossible or difficult to avoid by purchasing environmental certificates that promote and support alternative energies such as wind power. In doing this this we meet Scope 3, the highest possible standard of the DGM’s Climate Pact label.

Certifications and memberships

All materials and products from Walter Knoll comply with strict tests for durability, safety, material quality, emissions, and environmental compatibility. They may be tested initially in our own test laboratory, or later by independent external institutes.
